July 2011 On the 24th of July the Artist took part in a fundraiser for the Glasgow Cancer unit - Beatson Pebble Appeal. The event involved the artist painting 100 seascape paintings in acrylic in 7.5 hours. The event took place at the Art Exposure Gallery in Parnie Street, Glasgow. Each 8 x 8 work is available for sale for £20 with a target to raise £2000. The artist also featured in the 23th July edition on the Glasgow Evening Times to publicise the event. Jimmy was very complimentary of my work and described the Amity painting as “not a painting of Amity of a painting with Amity in it” an artwork which both him and wife would enjoy for years to come.
